What technology is required to participate in the conference?

Our online event platform Hopin is optimized to be accessed on a desktop or laptop computer using the Google Chrome browser. While there is a Hopin Mobile App, we highly recommend using a computer as accessing the platform from a mobile device may limit some interactivity features.

How is this conference different from other online conferences?

This year, the Catholic Homeschool Conference is hosted on Hopin, an online event platform that emphasizes audience engagement and fosters community building. We’ve leveled up our production quality for our live keynotes and panels, and we are pairing the content you know and love from conferences past with hands-on workshop experiences and extensive opportunities to get to know, learn from, and engage with other attendees.

Will I be able to engage other parents and vendors during the conference?

Yes! This will be unlike any other online conference you have experienced in the past. Within the event platform, there will be opportunities to interact with other homeschool parents in Parent Meetups, which allows you to participate in 1:1 random video calls. We’ll also have opportunities for hands-on, interactive workshops where you’ll get to reflect on the content from our speakers while discussing the topics that matter most to you. In addition to video interactivity options, you’ll also get to participate in live chat, polling, and Q&A for all mainstage productions.  NEW! This year we will be raffling off products from various vendors and hosting a scavenger hunt.

Should I still sign up if I am not available for the conference?

Yes, the conference will be rich with information to help you with your upcoming school year. For the 2022 Conference, all talks will remain available to you until May 1, 2023. For the 2023 Conference, all talks will remain available to you until May 1, 2024.

Will I be able to review the agenda before conference day?

Yes, there will be a full schedule available the week of the conference. For a general schedule, click here

Will I be able to visit my favorite exhibitor?

Yes, you will be able to visit Homeschool Connections. BUT if we are not your favorite vendor there will be many exhibitors available to visit. The Exhibitor Hall will open at 8 pm ET on Thurdays, June 8th, and close at 8 PM ET on Sunday, June 11th.

What does the registration include? (Free eBook, live event, Exhibitor Hall, recorded talks, what else)

You will be able to access the live talks, small group workshops, Parent Meet Ups, Exhibitor Hall, attendee-only specials provided by exhibitors, Pre-Recorded Talks, and you will receive a free eBook.

Will there be a social program?

Yes, the Parent Meetups will be your opportunity to meet with parents all over the world.

Can I participate outside of the United States?

Yes! Everyone is welcome to attend. Though the scheduled live presentations are based on Eastern Time Zone, the Replay area during the event and the recordings after the event will allow all attendees to view the content and resources on their own time.
